David McDonald’s Achievements at OSI Group

About David McDonald

David McDonald is the manager of hamburger and fast food restaurant chain founded in 1940. He is also the president and the chief operating officer at the OSI Group. Previously, he served as the project manager of OSI industries. McDonald also serves as the chairman of North America Meat Institute. Since 2008, McDonald served as an independent director at Marfrig Global Foods. David McDonald went to Iowa State University where he graduated with a degree in Animal Science.

Hamburger and fast food restaurant chain started as a barbecue restaurant in San Bernardino in California. David McDonald opened the first franchise using the arches logo in Phoenix, Arizona. Later on, Ray Kroc joined the company as a franchise agent in 1995 and subsequently acquired it from the McDonald brothers.

McDonald is one of the world’s largest restaurants. It serves approximately 68 million customers daily in over 120 countries around the world. Again, it has around 36900 outlets all over the world. McDonald specializes in soft drinks, milkshakes, hamburgers, french-fries, cheeseburgers, chicken products, wraps, breakfast items, and desserts. Recently, McDonald has included products like salads and fruit in its menu due to unhealthy eating habits and customer demands.

OSI Group is a food processing company. The company celebrated 20 years in China on September 12, 2012. OSI China opened its first food processing operation in 1992 in Beijing. It has been instrumental in the growth of China’s economy for the last 20 years. OSI China operates eight processing plants in China. Apparently, OSI China plans to open two new facilities that will make it the largest poultry producer in the nation. OSI China successfully supplied foods during the 2008 Olympic Games held in Beijing. It received zero complaints regarding its services. In fact, Beijing Olympic Committee and the McDonald appreciated OSI China for its excellent performance.

David McDonald, the president of OSI Group, says that the company strives to meet its customers’ needs. It has a global network that helps understand specific needs of its clients. Its local management team is sensitive and knows all the local cultural practices.
